Augenscheinlich sind "Workers Employed" natürlich nicht nur Redakteure, sondern z.B. auch technische Mitarbeiter. Und was hat sich seit Ende der 1990iger getan? DTP beispielsweise, neue Wege im Vertrieb (gerade in den USA). Einfach mal nachdenken und die Verwaltung schauen - wo sind die ganzen Sekretärinnen geblieben - branchenunabhängig. Und ich muss auch gestehen dass es auch in meiner Umgebung immer weniger Leute gibt die Zeitungen lesen. Dieser Tatsache lässt sich, zumindest in meiner Nachbarschaft, nicht erklären von der Wachstum des Internets. Vielleicht ist man einfach Informationsmüde. Dabei kann das gratis Internet noch immer kein Ersatz sein für die Qualitätsjournalismus. Sieht nicht gut aus für den Nachrichtenleuten. Und ich muss auch gestehen dass es auch in meiner Umgebung immer weniger Leute gibt die Zeitungen lesen.
